TASI runs a successful programme of training workshops aimed at those involved in image digitisation projects, those who wish to capture images and those who wish to use digital images in learning and teaching. |
Northeast Document Conservation Center |
NEDCC staff members offer a variety of workshops and other presentations each year. Most workshops are requested and sponsored by outside institutions or organizations. Available workshops include: * basic preservation * emergency preparedness * photographic preservation * basic book repair, and * intermediate book repair * preservation technologies NEDCC presents one or more preservation conferences each year. Past topics have included digitization for preservation, the museum environment, and preservation of magnetic media. The Center also sponsors a national series of preservation reformatting workshops known as "To Film or To Scan". These are funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities. |

| Cornell Digital Preservation Training Program |
Digital Preservation Management: Short-Term Solutions to Long-Term
Problems August 4-8, 2003 Cornell University Library will offer a new digital preservation training program with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Institutions are encouraged to send a pair of participants to realize the maximum benefit from the managerial and technical tracks that will be incorporated into the program. This limited enrollment workshop has a registration fee of $750 per participant. Registration is now open for the August workshop. A second workshop is scheduled for October 13-17 (registration will open this summer). There will be three workshops in 2004. |
