Tweaking?

What will a person perceive if I paint on upholstery?  What if I only use four tubes of paint, a yellow, a blue, a red and a white? What if I sand a painting? What if I mix media; cut up paintings and reassemble them; or appliqué on top of painting? How do color, texture and layering influence a Person’s perception.  This type of questioning is in my head as I play with tweaking visual perception in my work.

I only work with the primary colors, reds, blues, yellows and white, which I mix, layer and change the color context. While my subject may vary, as you can see by my list above, the exploration and challenge of color is always apparent. I hope you enjoy the results of my investigations into what we perceive and welcome your comments.
